Lover not a fighter.

These past few days have been... rough. To say the least. October is not starting out like the month I thought it would be in the slightest. Just in the last 2 days I have gotten sick, had my butt handed to me at work and hands down worst thing of all, I got into an awful fight with one of my closest friends. I'm completely torn up about it and trying my best to keep myself happy as often as I can. I'm a talker, not a fighter and a lover, not a hater. The only thing I hate is confrontation and I hate it in every sense of the word. I would put every nasty thing that has been said behind me just to have my friend back. That doesn't seem to be what's going to happen though.

So this morning, in an attempt to kick this funk I've gotten into, Nick and I got up early to take advantage of the beautiful weather and explored Orlando for the afternoon. This included an amazing breakfast, catching a showing of 50/50 at the cheap-o theater and a little very successful retail therapy.

But despite how bad some things may get, sometimes the bad times help the good parts of life seem more apparent. I may not feel well, but I still have a roommate that cooks me dinner because she knows I had a bad day. I maybe stressed out about school and work, but I still have a best friend that will call me at 2 am to make sure I'm ok after seeing a slightly sad sounding Facebook status. I may have some friends that are unreasonable, but I still have a wonderful boyfriend with the perfect solution to every problem. Tonights solution? "Let's just go to Wal-mart and bump into people to make them dance with us" ala the music video I posted yesterday.

I'm still in a bit of a funk but hopefully dinner, a glass of wine and Skype date with the bestie will help. Only time will tell at this point!

Do you have any sure fire ways to kick a bad mood to the curb? Suggestions please!

Oh I am so so sorry you are having a rough couple of days. :( That is the worst! I hope that things get better really soon. It sounds like you have awesome people around you to help. :)

Well, I think you're on the right track. Do fun things to try and get your mind off your problems, remind yourself of all that is good in your life, share your feelings, and alcohol :)

Hang in there!
